Meanwhile the Soviets have temporarily curtailed production of refined. products until the SMV storage depots can be cleared of this surplus. In par- ticular, they have ordered a 25 percent cut-back in production at the Lobau re- finery. ?-+ Deliveries of sulfuric acid from Donau Chenie A.G. to the SVir during February 1951 totalled 122,710 kilograms, which was less than one-third the amount nur- chased the preceding month from this sunplier. The Soviets have hired a number of new oilfield workers at "atzen and Aderklaa many of whom have been assigned to construction projects being carried on by the SMV subsidiary- firm Bau und Montage. 10. Sometime in the early part of April six Socialist white-collar employees at the Nova Denow refine'? were dismissed from the positions they had held for over 25 years and were replaced by Communist Party members. 11. Schindelka? an Aureaeldn Communist employee of the SMV Purchasing Office, was ordered to attend a 'evo-reek course of political instruction given in April by the KPOe Cent-v. ,:ommittee. During this period Schindelka continued to draw his full ealery. 25X1C (1) Comment: This shipment, although addressed to Soviet 25X1C was actually delivered to the SMV Central Warehouse, Neusiedl a d Zags. 25X1A 25X1A comment: that the SMV Purchasing Office hnd discontinued wholesale tire purchases from Semperit. It is interesting to note that the Soviets, while continuing to buy tires from retail dealers, have apparently resumed the policy of ordering part of their requirements direct from the Semperit factory. 25X1A (2) =I.
