China On 20 ,:ny approximately 2,000 Chinese Communist troops recentlyl recruited in the Cheuchou (118-52, 28-57) area arrived in Linhai (121-07, 28-53) from Lishul (119-51., 28-28) via Loching in one hundred shill junks. 6. Around 8 a.m.. on 2 June four Chinese Communist motor junks TM-re near Nationalist held Peichishan (121-12, 27.39),. apparently on a reconnaissance mission. On 7 June elements of the 105 Division in five motor junks attacked Tungttou (~I ) Island but were forced to .r ithdraw by a Nationalist naval vessel. Afterwards the Chinese Communists attacked Sanp'an Island and engaged in battle with Nationalist guerrillas under the command of WANG The Nationalist gfuerrillas were forced to evacuate to Nanchi Island (121- 27- ), taking with them seven captured Chinese 'Communists. 12.
