North Korean VI Corps headquarters is in the mountains 1 kilometer northeast of Kwangdam='ni (126-32, 37-57). The strength of the Corps is about 25,500, comprising the 18 Division with 7,000 men; 19 Division, 7,8000; 36 Di.uision8 6,,000; 23 Brigade, 4,000; and headquarters troops, 1,500. The Corps corrunander is Lieutenant General KIM Han, 140 years old, who was born in South Hamgyong Province. headquarters at lungchlon-ni (126-31, 37-49); 1,500 at Paengna?san (12630, 3749); 1,500 at Haech`ang ni (126-28, 3750); 1,500 at Changche-ri. (sic) (approximately 126-29, 37-50), The commander is i4ajor General KIM Sam- kwang, 35 years old, born in North Hamgyong Province. Elements of the 36 Division are at the following locations: 1,000 including the headquarters at Kwangdon-myon (126=308 37?53); 1,800 at Cheneung (sic) approximately 112634, 37-52); 2,700 at Kwangdam.ni.; 2,300 at Kangnung--,dong 126.34, 37-56) . The commander is ALajor General Y1 Yong kuk, 30 years old. 2. Elements of the 18 Division are at the following locations: 3,000 including the headquarters at Hashimuri (sic) (approximately 12636, 37-50); 1,500 at Tokchong (126-34, 37-49); 2,500 at Yongjong x (126-32, 37-48). These troops are all dug in on the slopes in these areas. Their commander is Major General YIU Han-sik, born in Puyongyang. 3. Elements of the 19 Division are at the following locations: 2,500 including The total arms for the entire Corps are 50 x 122-em. mortars,, 95 x 82-am.- mortars, 50 x 115-mm. anti-tank suns, 200 HUG' o, and 350 LNGG s, The Corps is also equipped with 48 radios and 80 oxcarts.
