1. The general situation In Yugoslav .a. is to be very bad, and as a
consequence, the people feel that they have not achieved the objectives for
which they fought and strived. A prominent Party , for ex :ample,,
receives a monthly salary of 6,00, but this will in no way suffice for
even a bare existence.
2m dices of commodities which can be purchased on the open market are very high,
and as a result, purchases must be made in the ration stores, which x re sever
well stocked. The very fact that everything Is available on the open market
but is priced beyond the means of the average person has created considerable
public dis,rntisfactiora:r
3. Morale is very low. The people suffered greatly during the war, and also
in the poste years. They would nm like to enjoy the prospect of a better
li. fe. Everyone is anxiously awaiting a major change; the general feeling
being that it is not possible to continue indefinitely under the present
condition
