The following is a list of factories which are either owned or controlled
by the military forces in Bulgaria and whose production is primarily for
use of the Bulgarian armed forces&
Army Signal Factory

Sopot Military Factory

a Located in Sofia on the Knyazhevsko
Road opposite the Alexander Hospital.
This factory produces telephone
instruments., radio sets., and other
items of signal equipment.
Located in Sofia right next to the
Army Signal Factory. This factory does
repair work on weapons and trucks.
About 800 corkers are employed here.
Located in the western portion of the
city on the wofia road. This factory
produces cartridges for rifles and
machine guns., as well as artillery
shells. They also produce gas masks
and perform a certain amount of ordnance
repair work. The factory has a total
of about 700 workers.
Kazanluk Military Factory This is the largest military factory
in Bulgaria. It produce a munitions for
all types of weapons., guns., and machine
guns. Repair work of optical instru-
ments and weapons is also done here.
The factory has about 1,1800 workers.
Airplane Factory in Kazanluk Located near the Kazanluk airfield.
This factory produces training planes;
motors are imported.
Bozhurishte Military Factory s Located 12 kilometers northwest of
Sofia at the Eozhurishte airfield.
