25X1 X 1. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Austria (KPOo) has been
Informed that the government coalition hopes to forestall strikes by a peacemeal
announcement of the results of the wage-price talks. Apparently as a result
of a deep Commmist penetration of the Socialist leadership,, the Communists
claim they will know immediately when an agreement is reached, and will theses-,
selves release a complete text.*
2. The Central Committee of the KPOe has established the following schedule of
action to follow upon the announcement of the fifth wage price agreement:
a. Two or three days after the agreement has been announced., the KPOe will
call an all.--Austrian trade union conference, probably in St. Poelten.
At this meeting the Communists will voice a protest, denounce the Socialist
union leaders as traitors to their class, and demand a general strip.
b. Six days after the announcement of the agreement the 'arty will issue the
order for a general strike a
3. The USIA firms will definitely agree to pay wages while the workers are on
strike.,

the immediate communication of the terms of the agreement. He has also reported
that the Communists plan immediate demonstrations when the news breaks. Plans
allegedly include surprise attacks on public buildings, federal communications
Installations, and on SPOs and OeVP offices.
