The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Austria (KPOo) has been Informed that the government coalition hopes to forestall strikes by a peacemeal announcement of the results of the wage-price talks. Apparently as a result of a deep Commmist penetration of the Socialist leadership,, the Communists claim they will know immediately when an agreement is reached, and will theses-, selves release a complete text.* 2. The Central Committee of the KPOe has established the following schedule of action to follow upon the announcement of the fifth wage price agreement: a. Two or three days after the agreement has been announced., the KPOe will call an all.--Austrian trade union conference, probably in St. Poelten. At this meeting the Communists will voice a protest, denounce the Socialist union leaders as traitors to their class, and demand a general strip. b. Six days after the announcement of the agreement the 'arty will issue the order for a general strike a 3. The USIA firms will definitely agree to pay wages while the workers are on strike., 25X1X rrment: all Communist teletype 25X1 A machines have been kept manned day and night since 25 June in order to insure the immediate communication of the terms of the agreement. He has also reported that the Communists plan immediate demonstrations when the news breaks. Plans allegedly include surprise attacks on public buildings, federal communications Installations, and on SPOs and OeVP offices.
