The set is installed in a concrete shelter at the foot of the ,Iaots. A signal searchlight, 50 am. in diameter, directed southwards* vas also observed at the station. Twelve men, who rear engineer epaulets, man the station. b. A similar station is located on the north point of Greifsualder Oie Island, near the lighthouse. The two stations work with Peenemlnde. The whole a:p7).-ratus stands 50X1-HUM on a metal base, with a motor installed laterally. The apparatus, revolves once in 60 seconds. Arr(y signal troops operate the stations. 50X1-HUM Dug Radar Station - January 1951 a. On the Bug peninsula at a point 50 meters north of the Forsthaus Dug, a radar installation has been erected near the track milinh down the peninsula. the installation was probably-emoted in August 1950. b. One officer and eight enlisted men were observed moving about the area and tween the installation and the Forsthaun. they were a party of marines on detachment from iass were responsible for operating the radar station. 50X1-HUM 50X1-HUM 50X1-HUM nitz, 50X1-HUM c. on 4 January 1951 the radar installation was in operatior, and both the upper and lower cross pieces wore observed to rotate. The sound of a two stroke motor was heard coming from the rear of the house, . and two insulated cables were seen which ran fran the house to the installation. Dinz/Ruegen Radar Station - November 1950 b, On 12 November 1950, a party consisting of one naval officer and seven enlisted men arrived on the Fahrenberg near Binz/auegen and sot up a radar installation which was put into immediate operation. A house about 100 meters north of the installation was requisitioned and used by the Russian naval party as an operating station and living quarters. Two insulated cables run from this house to the installation and the sound of a two-stroke engine can often be heard coming from the house. 50X1-HUM 50X1-HUM c.
