1, The twin-enf!ine transports stationed at Altenburg airfield made many flights bet-woo:I
16 and 18 May 1951. Jet fighters repeatedly- flew over the field,, There was no flying
at the field on 19 1:ay. Take-offs and landings were practiced on 20 and 21 ''y.,, On
the mornincs of 22 and 23 Lay, practice take-offs and landings -;ere nades and in
the evening night flights were made while the boundary lights woro switched on and
spotlights illuminated the landing strip. On the morning. of 24 11447.1 individual 25X1C
parachute jumps were made from three aircraft, * At 6 p.a. s one parachutist each
jumped from five planes. On 25 14y0 3 transports and 1 single-ongine highaing ,25X1

monoplane practiced taking offs and landings. At 10 a., on 26 T:.ay? seven transports
took off. Ten minutes later, three parachutists jmaped from each piano over the field. '

During the period of observation, uwept-back jet fielters in foriaa'6ions o two to six
planes flew over the field almost daily. Ihe aircraft did not land at the field On
9 June, a flight of twin-engine semi-hi7h-q7in:5 nonoplaneo with double riu'leer assemblies
landed at the field and took off again two hours later.
