of the United Front Department of the South China Sub-Bureau and CHUG ten

of the China Democratic League/ thozeected the South China area, including
Canton, Nanning, Liuchou, and Kweilin. They plan to inspect Hunan, Kiangsi?
and Fukien. At every place visited concerences have been called at which
the following instructions have been issued:

The Party organization must be improved in the area. Ideological reforms
are to be carried out; leaaersuip strengthened; the Parte unified; study
intensified. Leaders must eet e;.ose to the masses; propaganda is to be
expanded. Land reform is to be effected. The anti-American? aid Korea
campaign must be pushed. All mret strive for basic improvements in the
country's financial and ?concede condition. Party members were advised
to use the names of the China De ocratic League, the Revolutionary Committee
of the Kuomintang, the China Areociation for the Promotion of Democracy,
and the China Peasants' and Yr :ers' Deeoeratic Party to expand the
influence of the Communist Per,,e in order to overcome preseat difficulties.
