THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
I. About half a kilometer away from the town of .buhovo there is a uranium mine,
which occupies an area of about 90.000 square meters. About 3?000 workers
are employed here in three 8u'hour shifts,
2. The mine area is heavily blocked off with barbed wire, and is guarded by sentries
who are stationed at 30-meter intervals.
3, Apt)roximately 100 Soviet officers and technicians Are in charge of this mine.
4 The crude uranium ore is stored in large cylindrical containers and subjected
to a refinintig treatment by means of a wash with warm water. The uranium con-
tent of the ores amounts to about 3 per cent. The uranium ore is transported
to the USSR in cases, 80 x 40 x 40 cm.
