According to source this proved that the crews of ground attack planes were almost exclusively officers. Source leprned that the crew of a tnin-engine plane consisted of a lieutenant as pilot, a. sergeant as radio operator, and a major as observer. The radio operator of this unit was usually an ICO and seldom an officer, Observers and pilots get the same rations whereas the technicians do not. Service and furlough was usually regulated alike for pilots and observers who were assigned to the same plane. _ CLASS I FICATIOtatL_MananiallatOlitIS OFFICIALS OrLY Approved For Release 2000/06/26 :,CIA-RDP82-004 Dosument NO Change h EJCat,13-7,'' Mats.c $ kotha 11,11 16-2 tate% '41417 Sys .1213. 5,7 oossonnAnnn9_A Approved For Release 2000/06/26 : CIA-RDP82-00457R008500060002-4 25X1A ?T,gLU"ALS 4, After 27 June, German employees at the field were no lomer allaaed to blry in the air force shop but were still permitted to buy :in the AM shops, Source learned at the same time that, after June 1951, the eld;ra ration cards for offioers of the air force unit were no fc.ncer kviet docvnents found in building :4).23 inclLced an insured i.etter %-3dressed to Vladimir Aleksandrovich SMiT110 of Unit APN 212b8 The letter contained a ,narriar:c certificate and a birth c,rtificate sent by wit'e of the addressee?
