One 2 KW stand-by transmitter each for Berlin and Dresden have been com- pleted and are now in operation. b. The tower on the Brocken Hotel has been completed with an ultra-short-wave r.ntenxn.. `t`wo short-wave and ultra-shortwave transmitters have been tried experimentally. a. ..5 special receivers have been built for radio stations at this time. :h.'he RPT was not in a position to complete these receivers and they had to be f1nished by a private firm in Adlershof. 0. One single-bank-receiver under interzonal agreements. One panoramic receiver built by RIFT. f. Fourteen radio monitoring sets for radio receiving stations have been ' nstrzllod in Koenig. swru terhausen, Bunlim, an'. Schwerin. There are two short-wave transmitters in Da,mgerten-Riebnitz which were formerly in the 1 F in Berlin. Because of this, a reconstructed Webrmacht transmitter is being used by Berlin. Plauen, Reiehenbach, and Schleusingen each have one 800 AAatt and two shcr t- wAve transmitters. The Rf'T is not in a position to complete the transmitter in Schwerin so that this transmitter can operate in the ?_00-600 meter band. 2. An undated letter from the 11auptverwaltunr of the VP to the Plankommission cf the DDR 'Hinistry of Interior asks that 22,200 German marks be allotted for the completion of the telephone not of the northern border.
