2. In mid-July .o-t'o-fu ~- ), a high-raai;in Soviet advi'Ber to the
Chinese Communist air force, arrived in Canton accompanied by International
Air Force tecl.nicians from Poland, Cz?ohoslovaayia, and other countries? They
left Gantcn for uainan, where they spent two days, and returned to Canton., They
flow to 4weilin and manning) on 22 July. On 23 July they flew to 4unming. The
purpose of the trip was to insfect airfields to be used by international
Air Force units
3. In early 19b1 the Soviet consulate in Skiazneen, Canton,, headed by a certain

4. In mid-July the foreign-style building opposite the former Nationalist 9
Training Center in the Sha 1o (3~J j~,j) area of Cantons was occupied by 60
Soviets. The Soviets wore old clothes and were guarded by Chinese Communists.
