opposing the Nationalists along the Yunnan-Burman border. Burmese forces
are on the rear of Nationalist troops. The Nationalists have withdrawn
from Mongyang (99-52, 21.50) to the area north of Kengtung (99-36. 21-17)
with. one group at Dot Tun, north of Takhilek. Nationalist forces are
now estimated at slightly more than 10,000 men

that 70,000 Coreataniet troops are crossing the Mekong River from east to west
and will invade Burma. in strength in mid-Autumn.

replaced; his successor has not been determined. LI Pit has demanded his
resignation as comr:anding officer of the 161 Regiment.
