THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. The Chinese Communists detailed a. group of 250 military cadres to
serve in Vietnam. In the spring of 1951 these cadres trained troops
of the Democratic Republic of (DRY) at Tunghsing (107.58, 21'33)
and Fangs l eng (108-23, 21-46). I'io st of these cadres speak the
Cantonese and. Hupeh dialects, and some Yun xanese. On 20 August
KTJ I wing (f , .- c~, ). a Hupeh native who is a division level staff
officer, led the group through Tnneiasing enroute to North Vietnam..
The group will go to South Vietna tto aesist the DRV in reorganizing
local armed forces there.
2. The DRV appointed CR'I T Ta-ha3 .. ~ ,1 35-year'-old graduate of the
Yennan Resisting Japan College, to greet the group upon entry into
Vietnam.
The Vietnrmese enuivalent is Iran Dai Hai.
Probably the wartime Red Army school in Yenan,
