1. From mid-July to mice-August 1951 enough Soviet-manufactured equipment for two
infantry divisions arrived in Changchun from. Chita and was turned over to the
Chinese Communists.
2. : tween late 1)5o and the end of August 1951 enough Soviet equipment for 27
Chinese Communist infantry divisions and 3 armored divisions had been turned
over to the Chinese Communists by the USSR.
3. On 18 September, 1,600 troops of a regiment of.the 2 Public Security Division

Canton via ?iankow by rail. Most members of this regiment are recently con
scripted farmers, and all were poorly equipped.
t Since early September, 6,000 militia troops from the Nanhu (I ), Tsoch'i
(& . $) and Yuch'i ( j ) areas in Vruchang (1111.17, 30-32) Hsien left Hankow',
for the north on the Peiping-Hankow railroad. These troops were poorly equipped.1
