YEE Taung-wen w ? 26, a nativeThing of ung An (118-10; 24,44) Fukien Province, who landed in the Philipnines early in 1951, presumably' on an assignment for the Chinese Communist Party, is now being detained by the Philipnine Government in Manila on charges of violating the immigration regulations, 2. YEE, who spent his youth in Amoy, entered the Amoy University in 1947, where he majored in English. When the Communists occupied Amoy in 19500 he joined the Chinese Communist Partysnd was sentto Peiping for train- in in the Revolutionary University (3.4qt1c.4,). He made two trips to Amoy and Cpnton from Peiping between October 1950 and January 1951 on Chinese Communist Party business. 3. Between 29 Jantrry and 5 February 1951, YEH was en route to the Philippines. He landed at a small port near Iloilo with several companions. His entry was renorted to localarthorities, and he was jailed subsequently. When arrested, YEH stated that he was 16, and thatAp had entered the Philippines to see his girl friend, TVA' Li-chting x pp ).
