1. Tank Day, 16 July, was observed by the Yugoslav Army. The celebration
opened on 15 July with heavy gun salvos fired from 6 to 7 in the evening
These gun salutes were fired at a spot approximately 20 kilometers from
Belgrade. Untested.sources declared that a tank maneuver took )lace, its
purpose being to serve as a demonstration against Rumania.
2. The Partisan Sport Club observed Tank Day by holding motorcycle races in
Belgrade. No military parades were held during the course of the Tank Day
celebration
