1. Now American devices for the exploitation of antimony arrived from Vrestern
Germany at the and of April 1951. The machinery will greatly increase the
production of this expensive ore in the mines of Za jaea.
2. A oos ittee of engineers, which has made a thorough inspection of the
Zajaca minest, has completed plans for the construction of a n flotation
plant in i:rasina, on the Drina River. On the basis of the c:m4tted"0
report, the Ministry concerned has approved the project and construction of
the nom' plant; began on 15 June 1951. The capacity of the new flotation
plant will be five times greater than that of the present one.
3. At the bogiauning of Nay 1951, the preparatory work for the construction
of a wire rop ray 9 kiloinete=-s long; was begun. This wire ropeway will
transport the ore frari the mine to the plant and, according; to the
construction plane,, it will be able to carry 300 tons of ore in 16 hours.
Two workers' brigades are currently employed on the project. One of trio
brigades arrived on 5 May 1951 and is composed mainly of labor convicts
with sentences up to 2 roars of forced labor.

one of the wells in the Zajaca mines which should be eompl eted by the
end of 1:150. This Would increase the antimony production by 16 per cent.
Since the Zaaaca mine previously had one flotation plant, and the construction
of another yeas begun in July 1950, this will be the third such installation,
