In did-September the Chinese Cc*nr nists began build a large railway repair
shop at '.;uts'unyu (,,. t`4 )e on the Yunglung (+~ Highway, 20 miles
from Nanning,, The repair shop was being rebuilt by 600 technicians and labor-
ers and 15 Soviet advisers. A light railway has been built between the repair
shop site and the South Station at Nanning.
2. On 18 September 3 railway cars loaded rd h ammunitions and gasoline arrived at
Liuchou from 11ankow and unloaded at the Liuchou South Station. The ammunition
and gasoline, vhich oonsisted of 3,,500 boxes of small-type bombs and 150 x
50-gallon drums of aviation gasoline, were loaded on 34 military trucks and
transported to a warehouse on Liuchou Airfield.

6. On 17 September 16 x 37 man guns arrived at Shanghai by rail from Tientsin*
A number of these guns are to be emplaced at Taeh'ang and Kiangwan Airfields
and the remainder will be emplaced in a suburb of Shanghai.
