LATE REPORT NO.
1. On 14 September a battalion of the 5 Regiment of the Liang Kuang Column
defected from the Chinese Communists and is now in Ztangyangshan (1713-14, 22--14)
area.
2. During September Chinese Communist troops suffered the following losses In
an attempt to wipe out LIAI G Kuan and his followers: 120 troops killed,
three 6mm '(sic) guns, three light machine guns, 80 rifles,and large c ,ntities
of ammunition captured by the Nationalists.
