1. Chlengtu lirfield closed at 5s55 a.m. 'Chungking Airfield. closed at 6x15
a.m. because of rain, opened at 9:12 a.m., closed at 11s20 a.m., opened at
12:25 p.m.,, and closed at 1:50 pm.
2. At 8:40 a.m. 68 fighters left Tatungkou for combat mission over Korea.
One of these planes was shot down over Topich'eng'en ( I ),
North Korea. The pilot of this plane was wounded but bailed out. Four
other planes which flaw these missions are missing,
Three other flights with a total of 97 HIG-15' a also left Tatungkou Air-
field for combat missions in Korea. At l:17 p.m, 36 of these V1IO-151e
returned to Tatungkou. At 4:214 p.me 18 U10-15's returned to Tatungkou.~
and at 4:27 p.m. 40 more returned. Three L1IGy-15'a which flew these
missions are missing,
44 At 9 a.m0 an unidentified military aircraft piloted by Ma-no--lo-f'u ssuy-chi

LU Ting liao as flight leader. During the same hours 5 YAK-Ills
will fly with LI Chia-lin as flight leader, and 6 YAK-Ills with
WU Chi-yuan as flight leader will fly at altitudes at 1,300 to
5,000 feet,
b. Laankang, Mutanchiang area: between 5 a.ma and 6 p.m. 3 twin
engined trainers and a number of YAK-6's with CHaZEN Kuei-sheng
as flight leader will fly, An unidentified plane piloted by
TSAI Shen-ping and with seven cadets aboard will fly to Yenkon,
Huanaan, and back to Lankang.
c. Wenchun,, Mu.tanchian area: a number of planes with SANG 1idang-wing
as flight leader will fly to Hengtaohotzu (126-40, 14345) and
back to Wenchun at altitudes of 1,000 to 3,300 feat.
d. Hailang, Mutanchi ang area: 3 attack bombers,, 7 YAK-6 a aa, and 10
unidentified planes with CH"IEN Tien-kuei as ,flight leader will
fly to Hengtaohotzu, Tungchingch'eng (129-10, 41-07), and back
to Hailing at altitudes of 1,000 to 3,300 feet.
e. Changchuns 19 MIG-15's and one unidentified plane with CHI Wu
(* ., ) as flight leader will fly to Sc up' ingchieh and then
back to Changchun,
f. Ssug' ingchieh: Between 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. 25 MIK15's, one
unidentified plane, and 3 YAK-1718 with WU C13ang-wu (=K~ .1
as flight leader will fly to Kungchulingg Itung, Changchun, and
then back to Seup"ingchieho
Anshan: between 4 p.m. and 8 pm. on 4 October,, 12 LA-91s and
one YAK 11 with Yeh-fei--mao-fu as flight leader will fly to
Penchi, Fushun., Mukden, and then back to Anshan. Thu they will
go to Kaip'lug,, Haiuyen, and back to Anshan; then to Antung and
back to Anshan. May will fly at altitudes of 10,0OO to 23,0000
feet,
h. Tsinan: 10 TU-2's numbers 5,6,7,8,,l0,12,i5,17,18, and 78 will
fly over Tsinan between 6:30 a0m. and 12:30 porno
At 8:140 a.m. 2 C-47's, Numbers 2156 and 2157, left Chita for Mukden
via Tsitsihar. They arrived at Mukden at 2:28 p.m.
9Q Civil transport Number 3046 left Voroshilov for Mukden, where it
arrived at 14:30 p.m.
