1. The "Plan" for Rumanian imports set a figure of 12,000 tons of fire-resistant
bricks to be imported in 1950. Only about 8,000 tons were, however, actually
imported, owing to lack of foreign currency. The following countries supplied
the bricks:
Russia - 3,000 tons
Czechoslovakia - 2,000 tons
The prices were as follows:
Chrom Magnezit bricks - 204 per ton later reduced to $185 per ton
Chamotte bricks - 6150 per ton later recuded to $135 per ton
The foreign firms supplying these materials were:
(a) Zaromat - Prague
(b) Slovakische Magnezit Werke - Bratislava

Along with these bricks plans were supplied for the construction of
Siemens-Martin foundries. The plans were supplied by:
