le, The large airfield in the r3ydgoskie suburb of Torun, about five kilometers
nest of the center of the city, is occupied half by the Polish 'dr Force and
hel by the Soviet Air 7orce. There are an unlenaen number of concrete runways

3. A Soviet airfield near Dojlidy (S514/G14.0) covers an arca of about 3 lcra by I'50X1-HUM

boo meters wide rano through the middle of the field and is divided into four
strips. Concrete runways are located at the sides of the airfield., The field

in the forest about two Idlornoters northwest of the airfield. The regiment
is equixr d with. IL and YAN, bombers and fighters and tronaport planes. The
fighters are fxouped on the north and routh sides of the field; bombers and
transports are parked in the middle0 epair shops are located in a large

or ten brick buildings used for storing eruiement and lubricants. Undergroi:uld

4. There is a small Soviet landing field at Swarzedz (P3/X36) at which a Soviet
liaison detachment is stationed. Four fighter planes are kept ready for
flight at the field, Mail was observed being transferred ffam a plane arriving
from the direction of Warsaw to another which took off in a westerly direction,
The airfield at /egnica covers an area of about two by three kilometers south
of General Smierczewskiego Street.* About 45 single-engine fighter planes
are kept under tarpaulins at the field in addition to four or five twin-engine
bombers and a biplane trainer, 'which are kept in the large hangar. There
are three small hangars and one large hangar at the field. Frequent training
flights and practice in, firing at a towed sleeve and weekly practice parachute
jumps executed singly from a trainer= observed, Anti-aircraft guns are
placed on three platforms during exercises,
6. A Soviet military airfield is located at Krosno (R50/Z74)0 It covers an area
of about five by two and one-half kilometers and is equipped with ten large
hangars, of which five were destroyed and are under reconstruction, Thirty IL
single-engine planes are stationed at the field, which is guarded by Polish
military sentries,
7. A Soviet airfield is located about 12 km northwest of Wiesau (Radwanice) in 50X1-HUM
the vicinity of Glogau (Glogaw). This field, formerly a German base which
is now being enlarged, is occupied by 20 twin-engine bombers and about 30.
biplanes, Bombing and strafing are practiced in the vicinity of the field.
8. A Soviet military headquarters unit of about 30 men, half of whom are officers,
is located in Katomice?,at Zamkowa Street, A Soviet infantry regiment is
stationed about four kilometers south of Zary railroad station. Also at Zary
is a Soviet tank regiment equipped with T434 tanks,
