The following is a digest of activity at Fink, Airfield: On 8 October 19518 only one 14IG 15 was seen at Finow. Other MiG 15s were put into boxes and shipped from Finow by rail on 5 October. Unmarried soldiers at Finow were allegedly transferred to Danzig and the married soldiers to the USSR. According to rumors heard in the town, the second and third technical battalions at Finow had been transferred, and only a small supi,ly unit remained at the field. These technical battalions were assigned to the two fighter regiments at Finow. At 2300 hours on 14 October, two trains left Finow and went toward Eberawalde. One train had about 24 boxcars and 30 flatcars fitted with racks. Each of these flatcars carried a crate containing one aircraft. The composition of the second train could not be determined but no personnel were carried on it. On 13, 14 and 16 October, four MiG 15s were seen at Finow. The following is R digest of activity at Alt Loennewitz airfield: on 8 October, 30 IM( l5s were seen at Alt Loennewitz. There were only a few Russian soldiers seen and the hangars were closed. On 8 October, two trains were observed at Wtust~sxk, One had 17 boxcars and 33 flatcars. This train carried billeting equirrnent; its point of origin was Falkenaerg, the rail station for Alt Loennewitz; its destination was Angermuende. The other train, which wn.a made up of six boxcars and 12 flatcars, carried trucks. Its point of origin tras Halle and its destination Angermuonde. The following is a digest of activity at Dessau airfield: On 8 October, 50 IL-10s were seen at Dessau and it a areared that the transfer of the unit from Steaken was completed., On 16 October, 37 IL-10s Duero seen at Des,.?au. No flying was observed at Grossenhain airfield between 12 and 14 October. Informa- tion dated 14 October indicates that jet aircraft at Grossenhain were packer, into crates and shinned to the USSR.
