REPORT NO, 25X1X New Screening of Reserve Officers and NCOs to Since July 1951 reserve officers and NCOs have been undergoing a new scr?eening, Reservists are notified to report to their District Military Command, allegedly for a r=eexaminatiorn of military and personal documents, the issuance of new military books containing the, photograph 'of the bearer undergoing a new medical examinationsand taking measurements for, or new azniforms, The real purpose of the screening. however, Is to determine the degree of political reliability of each man and to reassign him accordingly. 2:_. Expenses incurred In traveling to and from the District Military Command offices wi l not be defrayed by the Military Administration. If the appointment cannot be kept, the fact must be reported to the District Command immediately,, along with a valid certification (medical or otherwise). In such emergencies. the reservist in question will be excused and called later. the screening Is expected to last until. September 1951.
