1. Since the spring of 1951, the Yugoslav Government has been engaged in
the construction of a system of fortifications along the Yugoslav ]Bulgarian
border. This system of fortifications is popularly known as the Tito Lime.
'Mork on this system has been greatly accelerated since September.
2.,-. The Tito Line at fortifications begins at a point beyond the railroad
tunnel located approximately five kilometers east of the railroad station
at Bela Palanka,on the Belgrade.-Sofia line, and cuts obliquely across the
railroad line and the Nisava River. Fortifications have been constructed
in all of the hills around Savskovo Polje (sic), and other unspecified hills
in this area:,

Bone of the fortifications observed by iafornant consist of holes$ approximately
four asters in depth, which have been dug in the sides of hills. After the
holes had been dug, they were lisped with concrete and camouflaged with branches
and sod. All of the work on these fortifications is done by members of the
Yugoslav Army.
