In early October Communist troops north of the Icaesong Korangpo (? 26-10s
37-59) (CT 1006) line were digrging trenches and constructing road blocks,.
Between I and 114 October, about ItO,040 Chinese Communist troop replace-
ments arrived in an area north of KaesongR These troops were formerly in
the Chinese Nationalist 4 Army (sic). Part of these troops replaced the
North Korean 8 Division on the front line?
