1. In early September two unidentified Soviet corps from the north moved into
Voroshilov. Soviet authorities in charge of the northern area, which is
north of the Harbin-Cuifenho Railroad, ht,ve dispatched troops in railroad
uniforms to the railroad line as terrain observers and party workers.l
2. In mid-September there was no traffic between the Soviet and Korean borcje,, .
Supplies for North.Korea were sent through the Korean-Manchurian border.

On 16 September 2,000 ROK prisoners of war were taken from the Aoji mine
and were transferred to Hunch'un (130-22, 4252) to work in lumber Lii.1ls.,
Some ROK political prisoners from the mines were moved in the same group.?

!t. In mid-September about SO Korean miners were taken to Fushun (123-5L, U-->3)
for special instruction at the coal mine technicians school.

Comment. It is not known whether the troops sent to the railroad
re from units mentioned in the first sentence. Accorr'ing to
~a large number of Soviet troops were allegedly guarding the
railroad between Su.iyang and "lutanchaIng.

2.1 omment. There is a large concentration camp in Hunchun for
Chinese anrean political prisoners working in lumber mills and
in the forests. The lumber mill is controlled by a Sino-Soviet
railroad corporation.
