In spite of this, the extra production, which for the most part involves reparations orders, rest be delivered on schedule and necessitates overtime work which is carried on in two shifts of eleven hours each., Production costs have increased because overl, ime wages must be paid as well as the pay of extra workmen who were. hired to complete the order on time. 2. About 160 men frorr, the floeslauer cl-.iffswerft were assigned to this work as well as some 60 extra workers 'who were transferred there from other Daltic shipyE;rds. Lhterials, e specially outer metal plates, have been short at the yard since November 1950. Some of the workers have been employed in the construction of permanent buildings, others have been idle. 3. The ;Zbe 7.erft in flo 3slau employs 350 worlmrs. This yard has had constant difficultieu in obtaining materials and this has resulted in a failure to complete its monthly quota.
