1. 1,111:NG Choing-feng (1 4 )., ), 30, who is also known as WANG Ch'un-Reng
4- liLe ), a nativ of Chinchiang, Fukien Province and a graduate of
the Manila Hua Chtiao Middle School, is suspected of engaging in Communist
activities of an undetermined nature.
2. In 1945 and 1946, WANG was a reporter for two Chinese Communist Party daily
newspapers, the Hua Wiao Tao Tao, and the Chliao Shaniungj'ao, which
were published in nil When these two papers ceased publication, WANG
was instrumental in arranging .the publication of pro-Communist material in
the Heiao qhmitte (fJ\ 4:tik ). In social contacts, WANG occasionally
expresses guarded pro-Communist views.
3. Through the influence of his wife's father, YAI ( -) (mu), a wealthy
Manila Cantonese timber merchant, WANG has won the favor of SHIH
Chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Croeroe, and of YANG Shih-pnng (A.N-Itt
one of the directors of the Chamber .4 Through the assistance of these two
persone, WANG was made Secretary of tho Chamber and one of the directors of
the Chinese Youth Federation (-fi 11-)11A/M.3
4. WI-en the Philipnine Anti Communist Anti-Soviet Asoociation4 was Armed with
SHIP supPort, HANG joined this organ eetion and became its manager and
treasurer. It 3s rossiblo that both SOT and YANG know of WANG 's pro-
t sympathies.
25X1A 1, Comment. According to the Chinese Communist
organization in the Philiopines nublished two newspapers during the
early liberation period. These were the Chliv Shaagjam,lao
(Overseas Chinese Commercial Daily.% and the Hue Chtiao Tao Pao
(Overseas Chinese VO-1711.G.7).
25X1A 7, Comment,. SHIN Hsing-shui, who is also 'known as SY En end
as e Sun, succeeded Alfonso Crcip as President of the Philippine
Chinese General Chamber of Commerce. He is also Vice-Chairman of the
Feilipnine Chinese United Organieetion in Sepoort of the Anti-Communist
Movement, as well as an ofnicial of maw Fhiliprine Chinese and Kuomintang
