1. Prior to August 1951, the signal equipment of the 2d ? Sonderabteilung
of the Vol'cspolizei Dienststei].e (VPD) in Dessau-Kochstedt included:
1 complete field telephone set of the former German Armed Forces;
10 J nerican field telephones; 1 new carrier-frequency auxiliary set;
]. vacuum tube oscillator; 6 field radiotelephone telephone sets of the former
German Armed Forces; a 90-watt ultra-short wave transmitter; 2 ultra-
short wave receivers of the former German Ahmed Forces; 2 complete
Berta sets; a 5-watt transmitter of the former German Armed Force's;
and a 100-watt transmitter of the former German Armed Forces,
