1. In early September 1951, 100 cadre members of a regiment of the 94 Divi-
sion, 32 Army,l arrived in Kiangwan in the Shanghai area to obtain re-
placements for the regiment. On 21 September they left for an undeter-
mined destination on three 300-ton vessels with 29800 recruits from the
Kiangwan area and a large number of cotton padded uniforms. By mid-Oc-
tober no 32 Army troops were in the Shanghai area.
2. In early November part of the Meng Hu ( j ) Unit (sic) of the 31 Army
was billeted in the Amoy University area and part at the Kung Yuan (1
school in Amoy.
3. In early November a large number of Chinese Communist troops were trans-
ferred from the Fenghua (121-23, 29-41)-Ningpo-Haienchu (120-43, 28-53)-
Huangyen (121 15, 28-41) area to the Wenchow T ? aichou (121.07, 28?-53 )
area.
4. In early November elements of the 21 Army were in Haimen (121-25, 28-43)
and the Wenchow-Teaichou area.
5. in mid-November, 8,000 troops were in the Haimen area and 3,000 were in
the Wenchow area.
