During the latter part of August 1951, and the first part of September 1951, a large portion of the agents and personnel assigned to State Security were rut into uniform. irormerlys most of the agents of State Security., when they appeared in uniform., had the rank of warrant officer or company grade officer. f;any enlisted ?yen who belonged to State Security were seen in uniform in the vicinity of Sofia. All drivers of State Security who operate on open runs and drive overt -personnel are in uniform. 3. State Security officials have the same uniform as that worn by the officers and men belonging to the armed troops of the Ministry of Interior and are usually equipped with the same weapons. This uniform is identical with the army uniform,, except for the crown and upper part of the caps which are light blue, and the bottom part of the cap which has a red b-.,rd like those of the Border Guards. 4. The troops of the Ministry of Interior are referred to as TWR (Ministerstvo na Vutreshnike Ra.boti; Ministry of Interior) troops, and have no particular official name.
