A coordinated attack by 10000 Bi.=a Communist Party (BCP) insurgents who
have been undergoing training in China together with NAZI SENG's groups
also China-.trained, is expected in January or February 1952. One of the
objectives will be the isolation of Lashio. This attacking force will be
called the Boma Liberation Arny. Communist China will extend recognition
and will supply this force with arms and ammunition..)
The BCP is very active around Meiktila (95-50; 20-55). Kyaukse' (96--08;
21-36), and in Sagaing District.
AIB GYIs who recently arrived at the BCP Headquarters at Yanaung (96.00;
2Oa3O) from China, received instructions from THAN TUN and returned to
Peiping. AUNG GYT 3.0 expected to go to Moscow very shortly.
A Russia-China-Bona Friendship Association will be formed upon the
return of Thakin LWIN from Moscow. Secret meetings on this subject are
being held between the Burma Workers' and Peasants' Party and the Soviet
and Chinese Embassies in Rangoon.

Seven or eight KMT military personnel who escaped from the Burmese intern-
ment camp at Meiktila on 11 November are still at large, including Major
Z YANG Kean.-pin (aka YANG Wen-lin).

Comment, Although soz'rce stated definitely that these insurgents
were trained in Chi-Pa, he was not entirely clear on the direction of
this attack. Source mentioned two points of origin, the Namtu (91-24;
23.-05 )-Hong Mit (96-.40; 23-07) area of Burma and the Mengtnao (97-52;
24-02)-1aungtao (probably Naungtun, 9741; 23-51) area of Yunnan.
Possibly source meant that BCP insurgents would infiltrate from their
training tales in Yunnan to the Mong Mit and Namtu areas where they
