1. The Fain Tank Workshop of the, Motorized and Tank Units of the Yugoslav Army
is located approximhtel7 meters northwest of Nladenovac, between the
road and xailroas 1 qa.jmZ to Belgrade. The Workshop has its.: orn rail-
ro d sing and ramp, but these are mod chiefly for transportation of the
> terial and equipment used. The taAis proper, are expedited through the
railroad station at Madsiove.c.
2. Major Anton Kurt is in charge of the Workshop. He is a member of the Yugoslav
Gommufiat Party, and is alleged to be an excellent engineer. Capt. Anton
Bartulovic is the political commissar. The personnel manager is Capt. Nikola
Blaskovie. The administration of the Workshop has the following sections:
a. Secretariat;
b. Personnel Section;
c. Technical Section;
d. Political ction;
e. Supply Sec ion;
S. Government Purchasing Section;
g. Section of the UDB and KOS; and
h. Shipping and Transportation Section.
3. The personnel employed in the Workshop include twenty-five officers, fifty

repairs were made to tanks of British and German manufacture and to armored
cars. Most of the parts employed in the construction of new tanks are
produced by the Workshop, and only heavy cast-iron parts are supplied by the
Djuro Djakovic factory.

civilian workers and three hundred cadets attached to the military indust##al
school. The Workshop formerly also employed 1,600 German prisoners of war,
but a part of them has since been repatriated, and the remaining part is new
engaged on a contract basis and under civilian status.
Between 12 and 14 new T-34 tanks are reportedly produced each month. Apart
from this, tanks sent in from various units are repaired and reconditioned.
Currently repairs are effected primarily to T-34 tanks, but prior to this,
