2. About 71000 workers are employed in three s-hour shifts. The Russian Ongineers
working at the shipyard keep very much in the background.
3. Ship-building activities in the Rostock-JarnenMnde area are centered at '.iJarrne-
mtinde rather than at 'Zostock, tivhere only cutters are built or repaired. Jork
currently undertaken at the Warnowwerft during the reporting period included
re pairs to salvaged German Vessels and the expansion of the yard by the pro-
vision of new slipways vthich are scheduled for completion in 1952. 50X1-HUM
