About 1,000 officers and men from the Panzer Kaserne, Neuruppin, were seen
boarding a train of 30 boxcars at the Neuruppin railroad station at 4 p.m.
on 19 November. All of the troops were unarmed, wore red bordered black
epaulets and carried suitcases. They were led to the station by a military
band and departed toward Fehrbellin. **
