In 1950 representatives of the Ministry of Trade of Eastern Germany in China concluded an agreement for the erection of three hydrogenation plants in China with the following specifications: a. Coal will be the raw material used. b. Each plant will produce annually 150,000 tons of aviation gasoline. c. Each plant will cost DM 80 million. d. All mechnical parts will be delivered in September 1951. 2. This agreement was revised in September 1951 and the following changes made, which were agreed to by Chinese experts who inspected the Bohlen Plant: a. Each plant will cost DM 300 million. b* Prod:,Qtio1, w 11 start at the p1 ntsfive years after the-,order for them has bean paced. 3. Chinese coal is being shipp;sd to Germany for analysis at Bohlen.!
