(1) The plan shows the location of the pipes and their dia- meters. The circled numbers indicate the manholes, The pipe lines of the eastern drainage system were completed except for the line branching off from manhole No 20 toward--the northeast and a strip of the main pipe line leading from manhole No 40 to the airfield buildings, about 920 meters sway. 2. Some.laborers were discharged or transferred to other construction sites, so that only 1,60 workers remained at the field as of 3 November. No machines were shipped away. The construction superintendent said that 500 laborers would remain at. the field during the winter months. A Soviet detail was constructing a con- crete road, about 200 meters long, from the northeastern bend of the old spur track toward the northeast as far as the place where the fuel containers were stored in groups of three and four. After 30 October, five other containers arrived. A 100?- meter strip of the northern taxiway beginning at the east end of the completed. Excavating and laying of a gravel sub-grade started at d of the runway where the northern taxiway was to terminate. The 4ntir the taxiway could not be identified. (2) A 280-meter space between t ';the spur track in the western extension of the runway was paved. The old 1 front of hangars 2 through 6 was enlarged and concreted as far as tie southern way. There was no flying at the field between 29 October and 5November, About 11:30 a.m. on 3 November, a formation of three twin-jet planes circled over the field several times; between 2:30 and 4 p.m., the hangars at the field were closed. No aircraft or aircraft parts were observed. 4. A bakery from a/erneuchen delivered 1,030 kg of bread daily to the unit at the field which may indicate that the unit had a strength of slightly more thanf1,000 men.(4) No new troops were observed arriving at the field between 29 October and 6'November.
