Sverdlovsk - Bayanovka. The Jirasno Turinsk railroad station.is at the
northstern edge of the plant area.

a. The plant construction which was started in 1941 assumed production oh
the 1943 anniversary of the October Revolution. During the time of
observation the plant was enlarged following the program of the .Five Year
Plan. According to Soviet statements this project is scheduled to be com-
pleted by 1955.
b. The plant building, ere not in good condition. Many installations were
weather-beaten. The ro to the plant was only a path. A railroad connec-
tion was available. The power plant was constructed in 1942, first enlarged
from 1945 0 1947, and enlarged for the second time in the Fall of 1949.

presunably correct location obtained by the evaluation of all
information available by the summer of 1949- was stated in an evaluation
report. The present report confirms the pt location. The identity
of New-Turinak and the known Krasno-Turinsk can be assumed.
The plant is about 2 km west of Turingrk, north of a cons icuous reserv r.

b. The plant layout of this extensive plant, which is still being
enlarged, is not.clarified. It is possible *hat the location and type of
construction of the most essential plant buildings were correctly recoiled
on the attached sketch and legend.
"5th Series". According to previous definite information the Turinsk-
harpinsk railroad line separates the new northern section from the old one.

with lathe shop, forge, and electric workshop

brick lining, 180 meters long, the height of the building was
not determined; brick smokestack more than 60 meters high. Soviets
said the future purpose of this workshop will be the final cleansing
(refining) of the processed raw aluminum. The installation of a
rolling mill was planned.

smokestack 45 meters high, to be installed like a and b above.
