^ 1, On 20 December 1951s source learned that Soviet troops had completely vacated
the officers' billets on Karl Liebknech.t `,trassse, the :tech premises and the
25X1 X post office in Luckenwalde (11 53/Z 90). The i orddeutsche "aschinen Fabrik

started vacating the restricted area on Orabenstrasse.
2 o Lcquaintances of source said that the arnar headquarters and troop units
from Luckenwalde had started movin0 to r,uensdorf (fl 531Z 91) in the middle
of December 1951. It was rumored that new troops ;could be stationed in
Luckenwalde. Mere was much resentment among the local population because
the Soviets had completely stripped the officers' billets and the officers'
mess in Cafe 11ennig.

of the road fork forned by the roads from Luc!,ern-ralde to _,ranlenfelde and
Franken_foerde. Only a few windows of the four low -wooden barracks buildings
