Both vessels had tripod masts. ** At noon on 13 November, the former 49 GHT regularly carried coal from Gdynia to Peyse (540391N/ 20 06'E5 on the Koenigsberg 11'aritime Canal, At 10:30 a.m. on 14 November, this ship arrived in Gdynia and docked at the coal harbor. After taking on coal she left port again in the morning of 15 November and returned empty at 9 p.m. on 17 November. She took on coal during the night and left immediately afterwards. At 11:10a., on 19 November, the A.rethusa put in again and docked at the Silesian Quay. THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 1. On 15 November 1951, the Polish submarines were e in Harbor Basin 10 in Gdynia (54032'N/16'34'E). Submarine had been sighted engaged in training in the Bay of Danzig on e morning of that day. 2. Two small tank vessels flying the Polish naval ensign were seen in Harbor Basin 10 on 15 November. Three landin craft and three minesweepers were also observed in this basin, The armament o s minesweeper consisted o one 20-mm quadruple A.& gun mounted on the forecastle and two 20-ttri AA guns in twin mounts. On her funnel carried white-green- white rings, at her signal mast a three-field blue-white-red pennant was flying and the Polish naval ensign was under the gaff. At 11:30 a.m. on 20 November the landing craft left Gdynia tvward Hela. The weather conditions on that day were wind 3E force 2, moderate sea, moderate visibility, later fog, and wind rising to a force of 3 to 4.* About 10 a.m. on 21 November an auxiliary vessel of the Polish Navy, similar to the former German torpedo-recovery boat left Gdynia and put into harbor again at 1:35 p.m. This vessel was German target ship Zaeh ingen was moved into the harbor by two tugs and subsequently moored at the landing quay. 4.
