IL Comment. Possibly one of the four marine units in South Kwangtung
2.. II Comment. The names of the commanding officers given in this report do
not check with those carried in our records. Units bearing the same designa-
tions have been reported in Korea. Continued reports that the Chinese Commu-
nists have troops in both areas, identified by the same unit numbers, may ex-
plain this apparent conflict and the information in this report is therefore
considered possibly true.
Cormiment. According to information available to this office as of
1 January 197 the 139, 13)49 and 119 Divisions belonged to the b7, 45 and 1.0
Armies; each of these armies was reported to be in Korea, but with elements in
Kwangsi or Kwan~tung. The 5 Artillery Division was also listed among units in
Korea.
