they were on duty and absent from their base.
( ) Engineers and architects working on the projects received monthly
wages ranging from 22,000 to 30,000 lei and an extra 12 per cent
technical bonus. If they worked ten hours a day instead of eight
they received an extra half day Ds wages. In addition a living
allowance ranging from 15 to 30 per cent of their monthly wage was
paid when they were absent on duty from their base.

(3) In December 1950, an urgent order was received and a large building
was hurriedly constructed at the power plant IRG (Intreprinderile
Regionals Galati), This building was to accommodate new boilers for
the power plant. The expenses involved were estimated at 36,000,000
lei. The Braila power plant was administered from Galati.

Construction of a semi-underground storage area for ozygen at the
Santier Naval Galati. This store, which had masonry walls and a wooden
roof, was 30 meters long, eight meters wide and two meters high. The
roof was one meter above ground level.
(6) Extension to the textile factory Filatura during- 1949 and 1950.
(7) Construction of a three-story building on Strada Republici. This
building is used as a professional school for builders. (Socala
Profesionala:. de Constructii)? The school could accommodate 240
students, It was controlled and maintained by Conatructii No. 7.
(8) Construction of"new barracks for armored troops (Coserna do Tanour).
Thq expenses involved were estimated at 14,000,000 lei.
(9) Extensions and repairs to the Rumanian barracks. The expeniAS involved
were estimated at 9,900,000 lei,, including the construction of a
garage to hold 40 vehicles.
