1. The present chief of the Cadre Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
is former Member of Parliament Plechaty. When Jaromir Dolansky replaced
Rudolf Slansky as Deputy Prime Minister for the Coordination of the Economic
Ministries, he did not release any of the employees brought into office by
Slansky. Eduard Outrata, Dolansky's deputy in the State Planning Office..
volunteered for service in the Labor Brigade. It is rumored that when he
returns he will take a position in the Prague city administration. Dolansky's
deputy is Dr. Mourakova.
2. According to rumor Arthur Gerard London has been removed from Czechoslovakia.,
possibly to the USSR. It is also rumored that Vavro Hajdu has been released
from prison. General Ludwig Svoboda is free and has been seen visiting. the
Prime Minister's office. There is a widespread rumor in Prague that a new
purge of the Communist Party is being started,
