Chinese Communist forces on the North Korean battlefield have adopted the method of distributing and storing munitions and explosives needed by the combat troops inside residences of civilians who have connections with the Communist Party. Many such storage places are in use and their number depends primarily upon the requirements for munitions in any given area. 2. One such munitions stora place has been established in the house of CHIN Ksiao-feng %t) in Hsiaoweits ?un (~~ ~fti', ) (? Souich' on} three kilometers east of Ch' orwon (127-21, 38-15) in North Korea. CHIN Hsiao-feng is a twelve or thirteen year old girl who is living with an old couple over 70 years of age. Their house is a three-room building, all crumbling in appearance. The munitions warehouse is built of concrete z derneat? the house. It has two entrances, one beside a manure heap about 5 meters directly behind the middle room of the house and the other inside the pig pen in the right hand room of the building. 3. Five tons of munitions are stored in this warehouse consisting of artillery ammunition, grenades, land mines, rifle and machine gun ammunition. The old man and his wife living in. the building are both veteran Communist Party :members who have volunteered to care for this warehouse.
