THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1, A number of Jews were arrested last December 1951 in Galati and Braila
for attempting to smuggle jewelry and other valuables out of the
country.
2. These Jews., presumably prospective emigrants to Israel, had been trying
ro G+:::r.d their valuables to Israel, by way of certain ships of Hungarian
registry on the Near East course from Galati and Braila.
