Ctangei To: TS S C Atvth.: H11 10-2 . 2 Date: all i By: The VVW Schiffbau and Reparaturwerft, Strals- This shipyard was to have been placed under the direction of Seepolizei towards the end of this year but the SCC had different plans the VVW..Peene-Werft Wolgast VEB has been handed over to the Seepolizei. The VVW Schiffbau and Reparaturwerf't remains under the supervision of the VVW and at the end of 1951 is to take over the entire construction program of the Peenewerft, i.e., the completion of craft construction at other yards within the zone. Because of this transfer, the whole. shipyard is disorganized. The decisions of the local administration regarding the appointment of directors and heads of departments have not yet been received. "she location of the shipyard and general information The yard lies on the Daenholm opposite the mainland to the left of the Ruegendamm. A new road, six meters wide, hays been built from the Ruegendamm to the shipyard. Two docks in the yard form aright angle, each side measuring about 120 meters in length. The harbor of the shipyard, has been recently dredged to a depth of approximately .6 meters. Personnel The shipyard employs about 1200 men, _ 15(3 of -w$Qk side. The directorate includes the following. are employed on the, productive 'General director, technical director, commercial director, planning director, production director, :dispatch director plant manager, assembly foremen, two young fo :men. The heads of the departments have not yet been appointed. New constructions in the ye,rd. a. At present, work can be carried out simultaneously on five ships. It is planned to increase the capacity of the shipyard to. six ships. Power is supplied from the mains but an emergency power station is planned in the future. Permanent installations will be constructed by Pau-Union, Stralsund and by VEM Anlagenbau Rostock. 5.
