REMARKS
1. Between 29 January and 9 February 1Y52, there +ra a no flying during daylight
at Gtendal-Dorstel airfield. Biplanes were repeatedly observed flying at
night. No aircraft were parked on tho landing field on 9 February. The
hangars were closed. No radio installation was observed. No construction
work was under way at the field, and -io repair work was done on the fence
which extended along the eastern fielc border. A portion of the fence lay
on the ground.
Eve day from about 10 a.m. to 3 pm, ;etween 11 and 15 February,
flying was practiced by single-engine low-wing
monoplanes which circ e over the field,; The planes had their landing gears
extended while flying in formations of tree,
3. After 11 a.m. on 16 February, the field was observed from its eastern side,,
`here was a 5/10 overcast at an altitude c.`? about 1,500 meters. The landing,
field was covered with snow about 10 cm deEp. Fourteen single--engine low-
wing monoplanes with in-line engines were parked in two rows on the southern

type were parked in front of one open hangar.. No aircraft were observed in
the hangar. At 11 a.m., three single-engine lcwwwing monoplanes tool; off.
The planes flew circles in formation and landel after about 15 minutes.
After the landing, they taxied to the open hanLsr and were towed into the
hangar by ground personnel. The other aircraft ,arked on the landing field
practiced flying until about 2 p0m :'hen the aii:,raft enjne was warned up,
a small carriage was observed near the plane, A -'.eavy hose led from the

assemblies, So fare it has not been determined -Whether the aircraft of the
two units have and whether the air reconnaissance
regiment is still stati^_ied in Stendalo
